A Brighter Future: Nahia's First Term

Seven-year-old Nahia Nakato used to spend her mornings helping her elderly grandmother pick coffee beans, missing out on basic education. When her grandmother could no longer support her tuition, she faced a future of illiteracy.

Following her enrollment in the Donatella Child Sponsorship program, she was matched with an international donor from Canada. This sponsorship covers her school fees at Lidos Junior School, standard uniform, textbooks, writing materials, and a hot, nutritious lunch every day.

Now, at the end of her first term, Nahia has emerged as one of the top students in her primary class. Her headmistress, Harriet, notes: 'Nahia's face lights up every time she enters the classroom. She has discovered a love for reading and has gained immense self-esteem.' This is the true power of direct child sponsorship.
