A Partnership Built on Education
Lidos Junior Schools applied through SES (Senior Experten Service) for a school volunteer who could contribute knowledge, experience, and encouragement to the school community. Annamarie was selected for the assignment and travelled to Uganda to join the school for three weeks. The Donatella Foundation Uganda, which started Lidos Junior Schools and continues to support its development, is delighted to see this new partnership take shape. The photograph beautifully captures the children's enthusiasm. Their many raised hands seem to say everything at once: “Welcome!” “We are happy you are here!” “We are ready to learn!”
